My 3-Step Summer Morning Routine

IMG_0013 edit.jpg

Summer is a very tricky time of the year for me. I am usually very lazy when it comes to makeup and skincare, because let’s face it, we are all sweaty and irritated and we really don’t need extra layers on our faces. That being said, I developed an easy, simple, 3-step routine that takes about 2 mins and covers all the necessary basics.

1- Cleanser

I’ve been using the Vichy Ideal White cleanser for about 3 months now and I am loving the results. It’s super light-weight and the texture is so revitalizing which is something I really look for during the summer period. I haven’t had any breakouts from this product so I am guessing it is working well with my skin.

2- Toner

I recently went for a skin consultation session with Kiehl’s where they gave me this Toner to use everyday after my cleanser. This product with Iris Florentina Root Extract, is known for its deeply nourishing and anti-aging benefits to skin, so it helps prep your skin and moisturize it before you begin the morning or night routine.  I haven’t been using it for a long time, but I am incorporating it in my daily skincare routine so hopefully I’ll report back on this one.

3- SPF

This is probably the most important step in this whole routine. SPF is highly important in winter and summer and it’s a step that I never miss in my morning routine. I am currently using one by Avene which I absolutely love! You can also use other options that are tinted if you don’t like using foundation or BB cream.

There are obviously a few products that I occasionally use here and there such as the thermal water sprays to set my makeup and refresh my skin during the day. The 2 sprays I usually use are from Vichy and Avene. I also tend to use eye cream before concealer if I am feeling my skin is dry (I know I should be committing to that more often).

Hope you liked today’s post, what are your go to products for summer?

PS: I’ve added links for some of the products mentioned below so that you can shop my post and benefit from a discount!

My Birthday Brunch

I haven’t done a proper birthday celebration in years, so this year I thought why not?!

It was a beautiful warm Sunday morning at Garden State where I invited some of my closest and dearest for brunch to celebrate turning 24! For this occasion, I decided to wear one of my favorite pieces that I bought a few months ago from Zara. The moment I spotted this unique piece, I knew I had to have it. I saw myself wearing it for at least the next 5 years, and that justified the splurge, as it was one of those expensive items at Zara.

Below this embroidered piece, I wore a sports bra from Victoria’s Secret. Yes you read that right, a sports bra! I didn’t own any black cropped top, so I said to myself why not wear a sports bra instead. I was lucky with the weather, so I wasn’t feeling cold at all with this combination

This birthday was really special, I was surrounded with amazing people who took really good care of me for the past week. I also want to dedicate a special thank you to my dearest school friends and my partner for being there for at least the past decade, you are the best!

What do you think of this birthday outfit? How would you pair it?

I was wearing:

Embroidered Cover: Zara (F/W 16-17)

Sports Bra: Victoria’s Secret

Leggings: American Apparel

Sunglasses: Rayban Round Metal Classics from Sunglass Hut

GardenState of Mind

Last month, I had the opportunity to take part in a super cool photo shoot with a fresh and exciting concept. I was shooting alongside some awesome bloggers for Garden State’s summer season.

For those of you who don’t know, Garden State is a nightlife venue located in the middle of a garden. You can’t help but feel like you’re in a secret garden in the middle of the bustling city. For more information about the venue, you can check their Facebook page here

A big thank you to Andco, Vanina, The Goodlife, and the photographer Tony Elieyeh for making this project a great experience 🙂

Hope you liked the photos 🙂

Those photos were taken on a random day at work, where I felt like twirling and twirling in my skirt!

The coming week is going to be really tough at work, so those photos are a reminder that a positive attitude is always key when dealing with work pressure.

On a separate note, I am glad that this outfit was consisted of very basic items in my closet like the (faux) leather jacket and the white t-shirt, but the hat made all the difference, and that’s why I am obsessed with hats:D

Spain Travel Diary

Hello everyone! I’ve been offline for a while now, but today I am back to blog about my favorite thing, Travel!

Two weeks ago I went on my family vacation to discover Spain. After going to 8 cities and 5 hotels in 9 days,  I was exhausted, but the best kind of exhausted where you can’t get enough! I can tell you one thing; I am definitely going back to Spain one day since 1 visit is not enough.

In those 9 days I visited Barcelona, Mijas, Marbella, Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Madrid, and Valencia

Travel Highlights:

  • You should definitely allocate a shopping budget while there since Spain is the home country to some of our favorite brands like Zara, Mango, Oysho, Berska, Stradivarius, etc..
  • While in Barcelona you need to visit La Rambla, the port, park guel, gothic quarter, and the magic fountain if you had limited time like I did.
  • You can have the best Paella in Valencia since it originated from this city
  • Make sure you don’t book your flight in a way where you arrive to Sevilla on a Sunday since all the stores close
  • Speaking of Sevilla, you really need to visit the Placa d’Espanya over there since it’s really stunning
  • Spanish people are honestly the nicest people I’ve ever met!
  • While in Granada, you need to visit the Alhambra Palace
  • Madrid has breathtaking parks and excellent shopping
  • Marbella’s beach is kind of freezing, but don’t let the water intimidate you, it’s totally worth the dip!
  • Make sure you head to Marbella’s old town for dinner since it’s so cozy and pretty
  • Explore Mijas through a horse ride or by walking if you prefer to do so
  • If you’re not a big fan of dogs keep in mind that Spain is super crowded with dogs, you can even find them inside churches or shopping stores!
  • Keep in mind that shopping in Spain is highly popular which means you have to wait in long lines at the cashier or to go inside the fitting rooms.
  • If you live in Lebanon or the Middle East, the stores that I’ve mentioned earlier are cheaper than Lebanon in about 35%!!

My Summer Bucket List

Hello beautiful people! Today I thought of sharing my summer bucket list that I am hoping to accomplish by the end of September. One of my best friends is coming from Canada this summer so it’s a great opportunity to accomplish all of the things I want with my group of friends. Here we go!

1) Go for a picnic by the river

I’ve seen many beautiful pictures online for Nahr-Ibrahim so it’s one of my must go to places. If you have suggestions for other rivers to check out please let me know 😀

2) Travel

My passion for travelling just keeps on growing and growing so I am hoping I could be able to travel this summer.

3) Go to Tawlet Ammiq

I’ve heard amazing things about this place in the Bekaa Valley, so I am looking forward to discover it!

4) Do More Water Activities

That’s not only on my summer bucket list, but also on my 2015 resolutions, and sadly I haven’t filmed any videos yet 😦 However, I am really willing to document things in video from now on. Fingers crossed!

Total White Affair

I just love to wear total white looks, I haven’t figured out the reason behind my love for total white looks but I feel they are so easy, breezy, and elegant in the summer time.

Yesterday I went for a stroll in Monot street to check out the Beirut Street Food Festival (which I will be blogging about soon), so I decided to capture my look for this beautiful Sunday afternoon.

This look couldn’t be complete without two essential pieces: My hat, and this new boho style necklace from I AM Accessories that was gifted to me by the sweetest Elsa blogger behind Elsa O L’accessoire. She challenged me to create a look with this necklace and I couldn’t think of a better way to add a touch to my total white look with this beautiful necklace.

I can promise you one thing, you will be seeing many total white looks this summer so get ready!

I was wearing:

Total Zara Look

I AM Necklace

RayBan Clubmaster sunnies

H&M Hat

Thank you Ahmad for the photos!
