My 2017 Resolutions

supexnewyearseve2014.jpeg

It has been a tradition on this blog to share my new year resolutions and celebrate a new year on the blog (Fun Fact: I launched my blog on the 31st of January 2012)

For this year, I decided to keep my resolutions short and simple so here we go!

1.Set Monthly Goals

Instead of listing yearly goals, I decided for this year to set monthly goals without pressuring myself. One month I am in the mood to read books and other months I am just too busy or not really in the mood to read anything. That’s why I didn’t want to pressure myself, but rather have a few doable health, fitness, beauty, and career goals set for each month. Stay tuned because you will be seeing some pretty cool content in the coming few months related to setting monthly goals 🙂

2. Do Something Outside my Comfort Zone

Not that I am not a risk taker or a adventure seeker, but for this year I really wanted to do some things that I am usually scared of doing. I already have one plan in mind (something that I have been planning on doing for the past 3 years lol), but I will not share it until I actually do it!

3. Focus on my Well-being

For the past year, I felt I’ve neglected myself a bit and focused more on my friends and family and their well-being. This year that won’t change, but instead I want to dedicate more time for myself and my well-being.

All in all, I do believe 2016 was a wonderful year full of changes and new adjustments in my personal and my professional life. I managed awesome projects at work, discovered beautiful places in Lebanon & Europe, met some amazing people, and most importantly committed to yoga!

Hope you had an amazing holiday season and you’re off on a beautiful start for the new year!

My 2016 Resolutions

This year  has gone so fast, I still remember clearly sitting on my laptop a year ago and writing my 2015 resolutions!

As I mentioned in my previous  post, I didn’t get the chance this year to fulfill all my 2015 resolutions. The truth is, I started this year a new job in the PR field which really occupied most of my free time. I couldn’t commit to working out since I was working late, and I ended up being tired most of the time. Now that I am used to my working hours, I am determined to make the most out of my 2016 resolutions, no excuses!

On the other hand, it’s important to note that many times you don’t get to achieve most of your goals for the year, but you end up experiencing amazing things that you didn’t even plan! This year has certainly held many beautiful surprises on a personal and professional level, and these things ended up making my year spectacular.

Without further ado, here you have my 2016 resolutions:

  • Stop using all electronic devices one hour before bed and read a book (I’ve already started with this step, and I can tell you it feels so good and relaxing)
  • Seriously commit to a gym
  • Record video diaries
  • Learn how to use Photoshop &  Video-maker
  • Finish at least 1 book/month
  • Try a new hairstyle
  • Experiment more in the kitchen
  • Explore hidden gems in Lebanon
  • Consistent blogging
  • Write a journal ( I know this might seem super cheesy, but sometimes it’s worth writing down some beautiful memories or experiences, and just have something interesting to read in the future)
  • Invest in a new professional camera
  • Take writing & graphic design workshops
  • Travel somewhere other than Europe
  • Learn a new language

I also found this cool Q&A post on www.laurenconrad.com, I think it is a good way to get your resolutions together in a more organized way:

A bad habit I’m going to break:
Checking my social media every 5 mins

A destination I’d like to visit:
New York – Sri Lanka

I’m going to work harder at:
Making time for workouts

I’d like to spend more time doing:
Outdoor activities

A food I want to eat more of:
Asian

I want to wear more:
Hats & Heels

Wishing you all the best for the new year!

What Happened With My 2015 Resolutions?

Hey guys! December has always been the month where I look back and reflect on my year, the ups and the downs, and whether or not I stick to my resolutions.

For the first time, I am actually sharing with you guys what I actually did or didn’t do since I shared my 2015 resolutions last year. To be honest, I didn’t really complete my resolutions for many reasons, but looking back, I actually changed many aspects in my life without even realizing.

Working in the PR industry has really changed many things in my life, I met many people, more than I could possibly imagine, and I made many new friends. Friendship wasn’t really a part of my 2015 resolutions, but it really made my year happy and bright.

I will be sharing a special blog post for my 2016 resolutions, but meanwhile, I’ve shared with you guys what I was able to cross off my resolutions list!

 My 2015 resolutions:

– Read more books

– Continue with my newly YouTube obsession for hair and beauty tips

– Work on my Fitness routine

– Learn to ignore negative people and the negative energy around me

– Consistent blogging

– Record more video diaries

– Challenge my creative side

A bad habit I’m going to break:
Saying YES most of the time

A destination I’d like to visit:
Paris

I’m going to work harder at:
Making time for reading

A class I’d like to take:
Photography & Outdoor Yoga

I’d like to spend more time doing:
Road trips & Cooking

A food I want to eat more of:
Sea Food

What about your 2015 resolutions?

Tuesday Tips: How to Stick to Your Resolutions

large (2)

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great holiday! Today’s Tuesday Tips post is the best post to start your year since I will be sharing a few tips to actually stick to your 2015 resolutions!

Sometimes, we get really busy with work and life in general that we forget to take care of ourselves and actually work on our resolutions and goals for the new year, so here you have a few tips to avoid that!

1) Keep them Visible

It is a good idea to keep your resolutions always visible so that you don’t gradually forget about them. You can do that through inspiration boards, note books, blog posts, or maybe a note on your desk.

2) Make your Resolutions Realistic

Keeping your resolutions simple and realistic will actually increase the chances of you crossing them out of your list. In that way, you can also keep track of your progress, and it will motivate you to keep on creating resolutions for the coming years.

3) Keep a Journal

I really feel like writing some sort of diary this year or at least just writing the most important things on a journal. I believe it would be so rewarding to read everything you have done once the year is over. In addition, having a place to write everything you have done will make you want to stick to your resolutions even more!

4) Share your Resolutions with your Most Trusted Friends

Having a good group of friends is very important. Make it a habit of sharing your resolutions with your friends so they keep you right on track and you could do the same!

5) Don’t be Hard on Yourself

I think the best way to end this post is by telling you that you shouldn’t be hard on yourself. You don’t have to complete all your resolutions in 1 year, be proud of what you were able to achieve and always seek more!

I hope you liked today’s post, what are your 2015 resolutions?

My 2015 Resolutions

Hello everyone! It is that time of the year again, where you look back at your year and evaluate it and see what you need to change or develop for the new year. Since my blog will be turning 2 on the 31st of December (yes time flies), I will dedicate a special post for that and for my year in general. Today I will be sharing my resolutions for the coming year that I will hopefully stick with!!

Last year my resolutions were simple, I wanted to drink more water since I literally forget to drink sometimes and I really did work on that. I also wanted to discover more in my country Lebanon (I would say I am satisfied with that so far), and record more videos (must work on that). In addition, I wanted to take more risks which is something I am working on and will continue to work on next year.

Simply, my 2015 resolutions are:

– Read more books

– Continue with my newly YouTube obsession for hair and beauty tips

– Work on my Fitness routine

– Learn to ignore negative people and the negative energy around me

– Consistent blogging

– Record more video diaries

– Challenge my creative side
