My Holy Grail Beauty Products

IMG_0395 edit .jpgAfter years of trial and error, I can finally say that I have a few Holy Grail products that I usually stick to for everyday use (and others for fancy occasions). In today’s YouTube video, I go over each product in detail and explain the reasons why they worked for me.

1- Vichy Ideal White Cleanser

I never believed in the power of a cleanser until I tried this one by Vichy. I always feel that my skin is super clean and refreshed after using it. I also like to texture of the liquid since it doesn’t come off as super soapy and foamy.

2- Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water

I swear by this product since forever! After trying many other brands, I do believe that this is the best Micellar water in the market since it cleans the eyes and the face in one swipe only. There’s a special discount happening now on Feel 22 for this brand, and you can also use my promo code for even more discount! What can I say it’s Christmas Time 😀 (link in the video’s description box)

3- Sephora Liquid Lipstick #13

I have mentioned this lipstick many times on the blog for an evident reason, I really can’t get over how perfect it is. The color, the texture, the longevity, and everything else about this lipstick is pure perfection! We sadly can’t have this product easily in Lebanon, but if you happen to know anyone who is coming from USA, Europe or the GCC, I highly advise you to ask them to get you that product with them.

4- L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim

This eyeliner really helped me in my “learning how to apply my winged liner” process. I still can’t do a perfect winged liner, but I can’t deny that this eyeliner helps it appear a 100 times better and more precise.

5- Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I discovered this super high coverage foundation this summer when I had a couple of weddings and dinners to attend. If you’re looking for a long-lasting high coverage foundation, I highly recommend this one since it blends really well with the skin and it contains SPF!

Skin Care & Beauty Products We Need in Lebanon + Announcement

I guess by now we all agree that  we have limited skin care and beauty brands in Lebanon.

Personally, I am very eager to try many  products that are sadly not available here, so I decided to prepare a list of (some) of the brands that we need in Lebanon. Can we consider this as some sort of a petition? :-p

S K I N   C A R E

I’ve heard so much about this brand especially their eye creams and face masks, so it would be nice to give them a try

Sunday Riley

Although this is probably one of the most over-priced brands in the market, I am still eager to try their facial oils

Another “YouTube made me buy it” brand that I am also willing to try

2 words: Marble Palette!

Tarte Cosmetics

Tarte was one of the brands that I really wanted to try until the best thing ever happened in Lebanon: Feel 22! I’ve already mentioned this website on the blog, but it’s basically a place where you can find many beauty brands that are not available in Lebanon like Tarte, Becca, Huda Beauty and many others. I already purchased the Tartelette in Bloom palette from Tarte and I am IN LOVE! Check out the website and use my promo code “LARASPEAKSSTYLEFEEL22” for a special discount

Bare Minerals

More beauty brands that I would love to test! I’ve recently spotted their lipsticks and I really liked all the nude shades

Honorable mentions: NARS, Glossier, Pixi, and Sarah Chapman

What are the brands that you wish we had in Lebanon?

New In: Skin Care & Makeup

I am not a huge makeup freak, but I like to experiment with my look every now and then, especially lipsticks and recently eye shadows. Skin care on the other hand, has been a subject of experimentation for a long time now.

I decided to dedicate a post to my recent makeup and skin care (some purchased and some I received as a gift), with a small first impressions review.

S K I N   C A R E

1- Sephora Rose Face mask & Avocado Eye Mask

I haven’t tried both products yet, but I will surely keep you posted!

2- Bioderma Micellar Water, eye cream, and Sebium Global

Hands down, this brand is one of my all time favorites and I am a very loyal customer! Their Micellar Water is definitely the BEST in the market and worth every penny. I’ve also been trying their eye cream and so far I am loving it. The Sebium Global cream I use every now and then, whenever I have a breakout 20161119_105435-edit

3- Lexi Cosmetics Nail Polish & Cuticle Treatment

This is a new local brand and I am so happy with the quality of their nail polishes. Even their topcoat is amazing, dries my nails in a few seconds. What I loved even more about this brand is that they have specific shades dedicated to a great cause, so when you buy those shades, the proceeds go to the specified NGO (Examples like DSC & No Label)

4- Sephora Lip Stain #13 & Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

One of my favorite interns (Hi Zeina) told me about this Sephora lip stain, and I had to buy it as soon as I had a chance! Basically, it is the best lip color I’ve ever had in my life. No wonder it’s sold out all around the world

This concealer is a YouTube favorite to I had to give it a try. Sadly, it is not available in Lebanon 😦 It is perfect for everyday when you don’t want to overdo it with the makeup look, and it’s super pocket friendly

5- NUXE Multi Purpose Oil & The Body Shop White Musk Perfume Oil

I’ve heard so many great things about multi-purpose oil so I had to give this one a try. To be honest I don’t use it regularly, but I can tell you it’s not greasy at all and it smells divine.

The White Musk scent is one of my favorites although it’s considered as a controversial scent, you either love it or absolutely hate it. This one is an oil perfume and it can last you for a full day

Have you tried any of the listed items?

February Favorites

February is almost over! My goal was to make monthly favorites on YouTube, but I guess it’s okay for now to have this month’s favorites on the blog, and hopefully starting next month you can see them on YouTube!

I really love watching or reading about monthly favorites. I learn about so many products, movies, books, makeup, and so many other things, and that’s why today I am sharing my favorites with you guys!

My February Favorites:

1) Knits

This month was the month of “Sweater Weather”. I am so glad I got to pick up these sweaters, and some other ones on sale, because it was freezing cold and I needed to feel extra warm and fuzzy!

2) Nail polish

This month I have also tried the Maybelline nail polish that I am really loving so far! Not much of a color variation like other brands, but it’s affordable and it lasts well.

3) Sunglasses

One of my favorite fashion items for this month was my new Zara sunnies. They go perfectly well with all my clothes for both Winter and Summer which makes me a happy kid!

4) Tea

I am what you define as a “Tea Obsessed” person! I could literally spend hours in the tea section at the supermarket just gazing at tea brands and flavors (not that we have so many lol). I have tried this Green Tea Mixed Berries flavor from Lipton and I really love it!!

5) Makeup

Now with makeup, I had more favorites but I decided to keep them for other articles or videos just to test them better and make sure that I really really love them!

Labello Lip Butter: This by far is the best lip product I have ever tried. I don’t usually have chapped lips, but this lip butter keeps my lips super soft, it smells so good, and it’s super affordable!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer: I was searching for a good concealer since I haven’t found the “it” concealer yet. I decided to give this brand a shot, and I am glad I did! I never ever had days and days of no makeup face, but this concealer is so good, it brightens up my eye area, and I feel like I don’t really need makeup!

-Garnier BB Cream: I have heard so many good things about this BB Cream so I decided to give it a try as well. It’s almost empty and I am definitely buying a new one! It has really good coverage and it looks so natural and soft + it’s also affordable (almost $10)

 – Maybelline Go Extreme Mascara: I have been wearing this mascara for a long time now (which shows how much it lasts) and I really love it! This drugstore brand certainly wins with mascara every time! I have received another Maybelline mascara as a gift so I have to try it, or else I would have certainly re-purchased this one! Excellent for everyday use.

6) Favorite TV Show:

I finished the best show of all time in January so I couldn’t not mention it in this post! Of course I am talking about Breaking Bad! Let me just tell you, that you would be doing yourself a favor if you watch it because you can’t just live without watching this series! It’s so intense, so brilliant, so addictive, and it truly deserves all the buzz! It’s prequel just started this month, “Better Call Saul”, so stay tuned for it might be on my favorites soon!

7) Favorite Song:

I obviously have so many songs to mention but I decided to choose only one song, Style by Taylor Swift, since its video clip was released this month!

8) Favorite Accessories

As if I needed one more item to confirm my obsession with Breaking Bad, here comes my “I am not in danger, I am the danger” earrings by Leonie Accessories, and this is one of the most famous quotes from the show! I also love this very simple gold and pearl bracelet that I got as a gift from my parents!

I hope you liked this months favorites, what are yours?

My Personal Beauty Mistakes

Hello everyone!! I am so excited to write this beauty post because I really think the best part of blogging is sharing your personal experience aka mistakes, so that you can learn from me! I have always been a girly girl growing up, but I never paid attention to simple, yet very important details in my beauty routine. I have recently gone through a MAASSIVEE YouTube obsession, I literally watch YouTube videos all the time now which opened my eyes to the Oh so many makeup and beauty mistakes that I have been doing for the past years. I have started correcting those mistakes since mid 2014, and I am hoping to learn even more this year!

Without further ado, here you have my beauty mistakes!

1) Primer

Before jumping into the YouTube world, I didn’t even hear of the word primer haha! It’s a very important product to use before applying your foundation and the rest of your makeup to create a less oily look.

2) Eye Cream

Yes, even if you are not 40 years old, eye creams are super important to keep your under eye area moisturized since it’s a very sensitive area. Apply few dots of eye cream before applying your concealer.

3) Having a Morning/Night Routine

In the past I used to just wash my face with water in the morning without using a cleanser & toner, and at night I removed my makeup and that’s it. Then I realized I wasn’t taking enough care of my skin especially that I have a combination skin that’s acne prone. I am still in my trial phase in terms of products so I will definitely be blogging about my Morning/Night routines when it’s the right time.

4) Concealer

Now don’t freak out, I obviously have a concealer haha, but I never chose the right one. I used to go to the drugstore and just pick any concealer I see (based on the saleswoman’s advice) without trying it on. Then I started a habit of actually trying on concealers and I started going for lighter shades to achieve a more “awake” look. So my advice, always try your concealer before buying it.

5) Face Masks

Face masks were never a part of my life, but when my aunt (who’s a beauty addict) moved to UAE, she gave me a set of masks that she has since we have the same type of skin, and I started realizing their importance. I always read that you must have a facial twice a week, but I am still doing it only once a week i’ll update you on that haha!

Announcement: I wanted to share with you that I am seriously thinking of starting my own YouTube channel, and I already mentioned that in my 2015 Resolutions post. I am so excited to start with this new journey so I would love to know what you think?

I hope you found today’s post helpful
