Tuesday Tips: How to Naturally Whiten Your Teeth

Teeth whitening is becoming an essential part of everyday life, we have many solutions that are related to laser therapy and others, but I believe choosing a natural alternative is safer and healthier.
In today’s Tuesday Tips post I am going to list few natural ways to whiten your teeth at home and at a minimal cost!

1) Eating crunchy food such as apples, carrots, and pears can whiten your teeth due to their acidic nature. The crunchier the food the better, so start biting up apples and carrots instead of cutting them to smaller pieces.

2) Eat more strawberries since they contain malic acid which removes discolorations on the surface of the teeth

3) The fact that baking soda whitens your teeth is still debatable since some professionals claim that it’s harmful. However, using limited amounts of baking soda with hydrogen peroxide or salt can do the trick!
Lemon with baking soda can also be used.

4) Drink using a straw since the beverages that you drink have the tendency to stain teeth.

These 4 tips are home made alternatives to the expensive and  unsafe whitening procedures that are happening nowadays.

  1. Thanks for sharing those tips, Lara! There are a lot of simple ways to whiten our teeth – all starts from eating the right food. Manage your food intake, and if possible, stay away from colored ones, or at least minimize it. Natural home remedies may cost cheaper, but it definitely calls for effort, patience, and time.

  2. These tips are, indeed, helpful in having whiter teeth. However, there are stains that these alternatives can’t remove. It’s important that you consult with your dentist for appropriate treatments to achieve the best results. 🙂
